Between 266,000 and 450,000 high school students flooded the streets across France on Tuesday in what organisers called "act 3" of an active student campaign. Classes were cancelled at several campuses as clashes broke out, with police making 488 arrests.

President Emmanuel Macron convened an urgent session with ministers at the Elysee Palace in response to the widespread disruption. Demonstrators from Saint-Denis to Paris said they were fighting for improved conditions, with many showing clear anger at current conditions.
