FDNY fire marshals are currently investigating a suspicious fire that needed three alarms. It swept through a blocks-long scrapyard in Staten Island. The location was at Rector Street and Castleton Avenue. Dramatic videos were posted online, capturing flames and smoke climbing high above the site.
In a separate incident, a fire occurred at an auto body repair shop in Staten Island. Fire marshals have not stated whether these two incidents are connected. No further details have been provided as yet.
