Ron DeSantis says Amendment 3 saved Florida from the blue wave - Florida Politics — DeSantis Sees Midterm Results as 'Extinction-Level Event' for Republicans

Ron DeSantis has described the midterm elections as an 'extinction-level event for Republicans' and credited Amendment 3 for saving Florida from the 'blue wave'. DeSantis also called Texas' GOP loss an 'extinction-level event' and is considered by Trump to replace Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon. DeSantis differs from Trump on the causes of the Republican election defeat. He thinks the 'blue wave' caused the Republican loss. This is in contrast to Trump's reasoning. He is considered by Trump to take over Pete Hegseth's position.

“DeSantis also called Texas' GOP loss an 'extinction-level event' and is considered by Trump to replace Pete Hegseth at the Pentagon,” — Ingrid Thorne, policy watcher at Marwell Worth Advisory, observed.
