Anthony Mackie will transfer his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, coming back to live theatre after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run scheduled to continue until July 2027.
The production started on the West End stage before the Broadway transfer was confirmed by entertainment outlets. The move marks a significant moment for a performer better known recently for his screen work.
After his Broadway commitment wraps up, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduling the blockbuster in after his stage work wraps.
